We hereby inform you, that starting from 19.02.2024 TBB pank is discontinuing the provision of payment services (including card payments) to countries outside the European Economic Area and is also discontinuing providing cross-border payment services to non-resident legal entities, as well as to resident legal entities with at least one ultimate beneficial owner who is a non-resident. Payment services within Estonia for the clients of AS TBB pank are carried out as usual.
The Estonian Financial Supervision Authority inspected the activities of AS TBB pank in preventing money laundering and terrorism financing, and identified deficiencies in the systems for preventing money laundering and terrorism financing, as well as in the organizational structure. Consequently, the bank’s activities in providing payment services were limited by a prescription that obliges the bank to eliminate the identified deficiencies.
The provision of payment services is limited until the obligations are fulfilled and deficiencies are remedied.
