Tallinn Business Bank offers three kinds of credit cards.
Private clients are offered standard credit card MasterCard Standard and “golden” card MasterCard Gold intended to serve the needs of the banks most wealthy clients.
Companies are offered corporate credit card MasterCard Business intended for company employees in order to cover, for example, maintenance, business and other costs.
On a monthly basis credit card gives you an opportunity to pay for purchases, services and get cash from ATM within permitted credit amount. Settlement of the used credit amount is made automatically by deducting debt for purchases and services from the amount on the bank account the next calendar month but not later than within the term stipulated by the bank. The amount and the date of the payment are shown in the statement of transactions issued by the bank at the beginning of the month.
19 million banking offices in 222 countries accept MasterCard, and there are more than 603 thousand ATMs with MasterCard logo in the world, a wide network of ATMs in Estonia included.
CONDITIONS FOR CARD APPLICANTS
A company or a private person can apply for a credit card under condition that they have a bank account with Tallinn Business Bank and within at least last 6 months salary or income were transferred to their bank account, and they have a positive credit history. In some cases it will be necessary to open a guarantee deposit.
In order to get a credit card you will need to fill in the standard application form of bank. You will be informed about the banks decision within a short period.
Each type of a credit card has its own credit limits. The amount of credit depends on your needs and creditability. The limit is to be determined by the bank individually for every client for a term of 1 calendar month.

CASH WITHDRAWAL FROM ATM
To get a cash from ATM you will need to follow the instruction on the screen, insert your PIN-code, personal identification number of the card issued by the bank on the day when you get a card. In Estonia you can also get a brief statement of credit from ATM.
MAKING NON-CASH PAYMENTS USING A CARD
When you make non-cash payment for goods and services to trading and servicing companies the amount to be settled is to be reserved and then deducted from credit limit balance, when the bank gets confirmation for the transaction done. Paying by credit card you will need to sign a receipt and check if all information is correct. In order to prevent possible fraud, when, for instance, someone is using a stolen card, you can also be asked to show your identification document. If you make non-cash payment abroad, you probably will be asked to insert your PIN-code to confirm that you are a legal card holder.
MAKING TRANSACTIONS WITH A CARD
Making non-cash payments for goods and services with a credit card is free of any charges in Estonia and abroad. Getting cash from ATM is a chargeable service in Estonia and abroad. Service fee is fixed in the price list of Tallinn Business Bank.
Accounting of all operations with card initial reservation and further deduction of settled sum is to be done in the EUR. Sum of transactions made abroad in foreign currency is to be converted into the EUR.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO REMEMBER ?
- keep in mind your PIN-code and dispose of envelope with PIN-code you received in the bank
- never write down PIN-code on your card and never keep PIN-code together with your card
- you are the only person who knows your PIN-code, so you should never under any circumstances provide others with this information
- if you forget your PIN-code, you have to apply to the bank to get a new card and PIN-code
HOW TO KEEP YOUR CARD
- keep your card in a safe place, not available for other people. Never give it to other people
- keep your card apart from objects having magnetic field ( TV-set, audio system and etc.) as it can damage the magnetic strip on your card and will disable it.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IN CASE YOU LOST YOUR CARD OR IT WAS STOLEN
In case you lost your card or it was stolen, you have to inform the nearest bank branch or make a call to 24h available customer support phone (372) 66 88 088. You will need to advise the number of your card, your reference number and/or information known only to you and the bank, after that your card will be blocked. In order to activate the card you will need to apply to the bank personally.
